Air Cairo is an Egyptian airline based in Cairo. It was founded in 1997 by several Egyptian tour operators and has been a subsidiary of Egypt Air since 2003. The shareholders of the Egyptian airline also include Misr Bank and the National Bank of Egypt. Air Cairo currently operates a fleet of seven Airbus A320-200 aircraft, one of which is operated by Egypt Air.

Air Cairo offers charter and scheduled flights between the Far East, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Its destinations include countries such as France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Norway, and Hungary in Europe. Flights are offered to cities such as Düsseldorf, Hanover, Berlin, Erfurt, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, and Zurich in Switzerland and Germany. For example, you can fly directly from airports like Düsseldorf and Stuttgart to the Red Sea, to Hurghada.

Air Cairo Online Check-In

Online check-in is not available for Air Cairo flights. Passengers must check in at the check-in counter and are advised to be at the airport well in advance of the scheduled departure time. Check-in times vary depending on the airport. In general, passengers should be at the airport approximately two hours before the scheduled departure time to allow enough time for check-in and security procedures. If required by the booking confirmation, passengers must present the credit card used to reserve the flight at check-in.

Passengers should note that the airline has the right to cancel the reservation if they miss the check-in counter. After check-in, passengers are requested to proceed directly to the security check to arrive at the gate on time. If passengers miss the gate, Air Cairo may require the offloading of baggage and refuse transportation.

Air Cairo Hand Baggage

For Air Cairo flights, passengers are allowed to carry one piece of hand baggage weighing a maximum of 5 kg in the cabin. The hand baggage should easily fit in an overhead bin or under the seat in front. Fragile items, electronic devices, important documents, identification, and money should always be carried in the hand baggage as the airline does not assume responsibility for the loss or damage of these items.

Weapons, ammunition, gases or inflammable liquids, as well as alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of more than 70%, and hazardous items such as scissors, knives, needles, or razor blades are not allowed on Air Cairo flights. Passengers are advised for security reasons not to carry such items in their hand baggage.

Air Cairo Baggage Allowance

For Air Cairo flights, the free baggage weight should not exceed 30 kg per piece of baggage. The overall size (length + width + height) should not exceed 158 cm. This baggage allowance applies to both adults and children. Passengers traveling with infants under two years old without a separate seat are allowed only one piece of hand baggage.

If passengers carry more baggage than the allowed quantity and there is sufficient space available in the aircraft's cargo hold, they will need to pay additional fees. Some baggage items such as diving and golf equipment or bicycles may require additional fees due to their size and additional handling requirements at check-in.
