Alitalia aims to have an extensive partnership with Air Malta to expand its presence in the Mediterranean region.

Air Malta Online Check-in

Practically all airports where Air Malta operates provide a convenient online check-in service. With this service, you can check-in hours before your flight and even before arriving at the airport. Online check-in is usually available up to 2 hours before departure (24 hours). It is particularly convenient that this service is also offered in German. If you have already printed your boarding passes at home and are traveling with only carry-on baggage, you can proceed directly to your gate after passing through security. If you have additional luggage, you can drop it off at the baggage counter.

Air Malta Hand Baggage

Generous rules apply to your hand baggage for flights with this airline. In Economy Class, you can carry one piece of hand baggage with a maximum weight of 10 kg. In Club Malta, a higher category, one piece of hand baggage with a maximum weight of 15 kg is allowed. The permitted dimensions for your hand baggage on Air Malta are 20 x 40 x 55 cm. Hand baggage exceeding these dimensions or the maximum weight must be stored in the overhead compartment. Note that in this case, your baggage will count towards your checked baggage allowance.

Air Malta Checked Baggage

Air Malta offers flights in six different fare types, each with different checked baggage allowances. No piece of baggage may exceed the sum of the dimensions (width + length + height) of 158 cm. In the Simply Fly and Best Value categories, one piece of baggage weighing a maximum of 20 kg per passenger is included in the ticket price. In the Spoil Yourself, Business Basic, and Business Value categories, each passenger is entitled to 2 pieces of baggage, each weighing a maximum of 20 kg. If you have booked the highest fare in the Business Anytime category, two pieces of baggage weighing 32 kg each are included free of charge.
