Asiana Airlines Check-In
Asiana Airlines offers the option of online check-in to expedite the check-in process and reduce waiting time at the airport. Passengers can conveniently complete online check-in through the airline's mobile apps or website. Online check-in begins 48 hours prior to departure for international flights and closes 60 minutes before departure (for flights to the United States, online check-in opens 24 hours before departure). For domestic flights within South Korea, online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and closes 30 minutes before departure. Additionally, Asiana Airlines provides check-in counters and self-service kiosks at the airport. Airport check-in is available until 20 minutes before departure for domestic flights and varies from 30 to 60 minutes before departure for international flights depending on the destination.
Asiana Airlines Baggage Policy
Asiana Airlines has different baggage regulations. Economy class passengers are allowed 1 piece of carry-on baggage, while Business class and First class passengers are allowed 2 pieces of carry-on baggage. The maximum dimensions for carry-on baggage are 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm, and the weight is limited to 10 kg. Passengers traveling to the American continents are entitled to an additional piece of baggage.
For checked baggage, Economy class passengers are allowed 2 pieces of baggage weighing 23 kg each, while Business class and First class passengers are allowed 2 pieces of baggage weighing 32 kg each. The maximum dimensions for checked baggage (including handles and wheels) are set at 158 cm. Exceeding the weight or quantity limits for baggage incurs additional fees, depending on the destination for flights to Asia (including Oceania), North America (excluding Saipan), Europe, and Oceania.
Asiana Airlines Seat Selection
Seat selection can be made during the check-in process. Passengers can choose their seats during online check-in as well as at the check-in counter or self-service kiosks at the airport. They can view the seat maps of the aircraft and choose between window or aisle seats. There is also the option to select seats with extra legroom for an additional fee, especially for long-haul flights. Economy class, Business class, and First class passengers can make their seat selections 48 hours before departure. Special conditions apply for seats near emergency exits.
