Asiana Airlines Check-In

Asiana Airlines offers the option of online check-in to expedite the check-in process and reduce waiting time at the airport. Passengers can conveniently complete online check-in through the airline's mobile apps or website. Online check-in begins 48 hours prior to departure for international flights and closes 60 minutes before departure (for flights to the United States, online check-in opens 24 hours before departure). For domestic flights within South Korea, online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and closes 30 minutes before departure. Additionally, Asiana Airlines provides check-in counters and self-service kiosks at the airport. Airport check-in is available until 20 minutes before departure for domestic flights and varies from 30 to 60 minutes before departure for international flights depending on the destination.

Asiana Airlines Baggage Policy

Asiana Airlines has different baggage regulations. Economy class passengers are allowed 1 piece of carry-on baggage, while Business class and First class passengers are allowed 2 pieces of carry-on baggage. The maximum dimensions for carry-on baggage are 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm, and the weight is limited to 10 kg. Passengers traveling to the American continents are entitled to an additional piece of baggage.

For checked baggage, Economy class passengers are allowed 2 pieces of baggage weighing 23 kg each, while Business class and First class passengers are allowed 2 pieces of baggage weighing 32 kg each. The maximum dimensions for checked baggage (including handles and wheels) are set at 158 cm. Exceeding the weight or quantity limits for baggage incurs additional fees, depending on the destination for flights to Asia (including Oceania), North America (excluding Saipan), Europe, and Oceania.

Asiana Airlines Seat Selection

Seat selection can be made during the check-in process. Passengers can choose their seats during online check-in as well as at the check-in counter or self-service kiosks at the airport. They can view the seat maps of the aircraft and choose between window or aisle seats. There is also the option to select seats with extra legroom for an additional fee, especially for long-haul flights. Economy class, Business class, and First class passengers can make their seat selections 48 hours before departure. Special conditions apply for seats near emergency exits.

Asiana Airlines Seat Pitch

Asiana Airlines offers a seat pitch ranging from 86 cm to 91 cm on their aircraft. The seat pitch may vary slightly depending on the aircraft model. The seats are equipped with 27 cm personal screens and advanced entertainment systems, and they feature a high degree of recline. Seats with extra legroom can be purchased for an additional fee. Seats with extra legroom are located at different positions on each aircraft and are offered at different prices on the Japan-China-Northeast Asia and USA-Europe-Sydney routes.

Asiana Airlines Meals and Beverage Service

Asiana Airlines offers regional and award-winning meals on domestic and international flights. In addition to Korean and Italian cuisine, menus featuring seasonal and fresh ingredients are served. Meals may vary depending on the booking class and flight route. First class passengers can pre-order their meals 24 hours before the flight.

Asiana Airlines provides various options for passengers with special dietary needs, including children's meals, diets, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, seafood, or special religious meals such as Hindu, kosher, Muslim, Jain, and Asian Hindu vegetarian meals. In addition to wine, cocktails, and various alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic drinks are also offered. Passengers can preview the menus in advance on the Asiana Airlines website or mobile apps.
