EVA Air was founded in 1989 by Taiwanese company Evergreen Marine and operates as an airline. EVA Air started as a subsidiary of Evergreen Marine and quickly became a well-known airline in Taiwan. The fleet currently consists of around 70 aircraft, with orders for more than 40 additional aircraft. EVA Air handles an annual passenger traffic of over 8 million.

EVA Air offers domestic and international air travel and has its headquarters at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei. Since the late 1990s, subsidiary Uni Air has been responsible for domestic and China flights. EVA Air Online Check-In

EVA Air allows passengers to check-in online, making their travel planning easier and faster. Here is information about EVA Air's online check-in:

If you have a valid e-ticket and corresponding reservation confirmation for your EVA Air flight, you can perform online check-in. You can request online check-in as early as 24 hours before the scheduled departure time and no later than 3 hours before departure. In some cases, there may be a specific time frame for check-in.

In addition to online check-in, you can also use the check-in counter at the airport, self-service check-in machines (not available at all airports), and the Hello Kitty counter (only in Taiwan) for Hello Kitty flights. However, the online check-in service is not available for codeshare flights operated by other airlines, charter flights, and international codeshare flights of EVA Air and Uni Air.

During online check-in, depending on the ticket category, you can select a seat, choose a special meal, and print your boarding passes. With these boarding passes, you can easily drop off any additional baggage at the baggage drop-off counter at the airport if needed.

EVA Air Carry-on Luggage

On every EVA Air flight, you have the right to carry one suitable piece of carry-on baggage into the passenger cabin. However, carry-on baggage will only be brought into the cabin if it can be safely stored in the overhead compartments, storage bins, or under the seats; otherwise, it will be transported in the cargo hold. The maximum dimensions for carry-on baggage are 23 x 36 x 56 cm (the sum of the side lengths should not exceed 115 cm). Generally, there is a weight limit of 7 kg per piece of carry-on baggage for EVA Air flights.

Passengers with Economy, Evergreen, and Elite tickets are entitled to one piece of carry-on baggage, while passengers with Royal, Royal Laurel, and Business tickets are allowed to carry two pieces of carry-on baggage per passenger.

EVA Air Baggage

For flights to and from the United States, Canada, Central and South America, and certain countries, EVA Air flights have specific rules regarding the number of baggage pieces. In Economy Class, two baggage pieces weighing a maximum of 23 kg each are allowed; in Elite Class, two baggage pieces weighing a maximum of 28 kg each are allowed, and in Business/Premium Laurel/Royal Laurel Class, two baggage pieces weighing a maximum of 32 kg each are allowed. Please note that baggage pieces over 32 kg generally can only be transported as cargo. In terms of dimensions, all checked baggage for EVA Air flights should not exceed a total side length (height + width + length) of 158 cm.

For other countries, the baggage allowance is 20 kg for Economy Class, 25 kg for Elite Class, and 30 kg for higher classes.
