Vietnam Airlines Check-In

Vietnam Airlines offers an online check-in service. Passengers can check-in online from 24 hours to 2 hours before the flight. However, this service is only available for flights departing from certain airports. Additionally, a maximum of 9 persons can check-in online under a single booking reference.

Online check-in is available only for flights operated by Vietnam Airlines. If there are codeshare flights with partner airlines, check-in must be done at the airport counter.

Passengers who prefer to check-in at the airport can do so at the Vietnam Airlines counters or kiosks. Check-in begins 3 hours before departure and ends 40 minutes before departure. These times apply to passengers checking in at the airport.

Vietnam Airlines Baggage

Economy class passengers are allowed to carry 1 piece of carry-on baggage and additional personal items.

The weight of the carry-on baggage must not exceed 7 kilograms.

The dimensions of the carry-on baggage must not exceed 115 centimeters.

Business class passengers are allowed to carry 2 pieces of carry-on baggage of the same size and weight, along with additional personal items, into the cabin.

For checked baggage, the following free baggage allowances apply:

For flights within Asia:

Business class passengers: 30 kg

Economy class passengers: 20 kg

For flights to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia:

Business class passengers: 40 kg

Economy class passengers: 30 kg

For flights to the USA:

Both business class and economy class passengers are entitled to a maximum of 2 checked baggage pieces, each weighing 23 kg.

The dimensions of checked baggage must not exceed 158 cm (length + width + height).
