Since January 2009, travelers covered by the ESTA Visa Waiver Program have been required to register with the Electronic Travel Authorization System (ESTA) to enter the United States. The application can also be made by third parties and must be completed no later than 70 hours before your flight. If you want to travel as a transit passenger, you must indicate in the application form that you are a transit passenger.
The TSA Travel Security Administration (Transport Security Administration) has been in operation since November 2016. The TSA sets the security information for passengers of all airlines (name, date of birth, gender, etc. in the passport). It is assumed that they will be submitted 72 hours before check-in. The aim is to prevent terrorist attacks and to ensure flight safety. Late requests may result in your flight being cancelled without refund and you will not be allowed on board.
